Overall Satisfaction with Cisco AnyConnect

We use Cisco AnyConnect to connect our remote workforce back to our datacenters. We tunnel all traffic back to our datacenter to be able to better secure our users traffic and route traffic out the best path for the destination. We also use Cisco AnyConnect management tunnels to connect remote devices back to on prem for updates and management.

Pros

  • Remote Access VPN
  • Cert Based VPN
  • SAML login

Cons

  • Error logging
  • Simpler profiles
  • Virtual Head Ends
  • Simpler remote workforce
  • Easy SAML authentication
You need to have knowledge of FTD/ASA to do an implementation.
Our organization has benefited from this, and we use it for our remote workforce.
TAC support can be hit or miss. Sometimes you get very skilled agents, sometimes you will have to be persistent and guide them to a solution.
We looked at Umbrella SSE, it would not do what we wanted to do and did not have as much customization as Cisco AnyConnect does.
