Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp
We use this tool to manage my team’s web design and development tasks. We work in 2-week sprints, and were previously using a clunkier tool that was more suited to teams using Agile. Though this program isn’t specifically used for Agile, it’s much more user-friendly, and we’ve been able to adapt it to match our processes. It also gives us the ability to estimate and log hours for each task so that we can plan for future tasks.
Pros
- Time tracking: add estimates and time spent on each task.
- Easy to use: you can create different teams and lists within those teams to help organize your work. The drag/drop capabilities for tasks is also very helpful.
- The ability to customize statuses for tasks: We have a marketing team, a design team, and a development team, and we’re able to customize the available task status lists for each team to make them more relevant to our workflow.
Cons
- We would love the ability to integrate our Gantt charts into the tool.
- There should be an easier way to track bugs during testing.
- Projects should automatically sort in alphabetical order. I have to drag each new project into the correct location on our project list.
- We now have the ability to update our processes as our team grows.
- Hiring new employees is a less daunting task because we know they’ll be able to easily understand the tool we use.
- Easy time tracking allows us to make more accurate decisions when scoping out new work for clients.
VersionOne is great for teams that want a tool specifically designed for Agile, but it is generally clunky and not user-friendly.
