Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp
I personally use ClickUp for a personalized version of our company wiki & documentation. A customized version, tailored for my needs, and searchable in a way that is natural for me. I also heavily use the Mind Maps for visualizing projects, services, and other resources. Recently, i have been using the various statuses to maintain a tailored Jira-esque setup to organize my personal future tasks; essentially my own to-do list that doesn't make sense to add to our shared project management.
Pros
- Mind Maps! This feature is why I initially started using ClickUp.
- Rich text editing. All the features for creating interactive, and visual descriptions.
- Custom Statuses. The flexibility with creating different statuses is very helpful.
Cons
- Searching. As an engineer, I search using a fuzzy search approach, which rarely finds what I am looking for.
- Default views. I have certain Lists that I only view as a Mind Map, and some only as a List. I have to manually switch to these views.
- Personally, ClickUp has reduced the number of times I have to reach out to other team members for resources/services that I have lost track of, and have to ask again.
We don't use ClickUp for collaborating.
