Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp

I used to use ClickUp for organizing my writing tasks—to keep track on them.
Since I've moved away from writing to project management, I now use ClickUp to plan timelines for my marketing projects.

Pros

  • Lets you make custom status names
  • Understandable time planning features
  • Good and understandable UX/UI

Cons

  • Some things could be findable more easy (You don't immediately understand what certain buttons/icons are)
  • More understandable/clear email updates about your tasks
  • Faster project and goal completion
  • Increased accountability for tasks
  • Made team workload more clear
It's increased collaboration in our team by letting see task status from two or more sides (teammates). It also means more accountability for your portion of the task.
It let my previous manager organize team's tasks more efficiently by seeing the workload over days, weeks, and months, and seeing how to delegate tasks in a way that isn't too heavy for team members to carry.
I personally like ClickUp better than Trello because it's more intuitive, lets you see others' workloads, and, very importantly, time offs too—there can't be a situation where you plan work during someone's vacation. Trello is also not great for seeing timelines of certain projects, whereas ClickUp is.

ClickUp is amazing for team leaders assigning tasks to their team—the whole process is very seamless if a lot of info is input by someone else. Using it for personal use (like planning/managing projects) is more of a hassle and takes longer.
