Overall Satisfaction with Cvent Event Management
We use Cvent Event Management as an all-in-one solution for all of our in-house conferences. We use their registration solution, Attendee Event App, and OnArrival360 program to manage our in-person events. The product allows us to streamline the event processes by consolidating everything into one system. We're able to cut down on redundancy and streamline experiences for our staff as well as attendees.
Pros
- Cvent Event Management's platform offers a great way to build out diverse event structures. Their platform is very customizable so it can work with almost any event structure there is.
- Their software integrates extremely well together. We use them for our event App and On-Site solutions and being able to have each piece be a one-stop facet is great. I don't have to edit different aspects in multiple different places since they systems all work cohesively.
- The customer support is fantastic. Between having our own set team assigned to us for questions as well as various methods to reach out to them through chat, open cases, phone calls and emails, you're always able to get ahold of someone. Whenever I have had an issue that the person I was speaking with didn't have the solution for, they always escalate it until they get the answer for me.
- The Exhibitor and Speaker Management tools really help reduce redundancy and keep track of all facets of the event. Especially when there are upwards of 50 of each it can be hard to track all of the elements needed from them. Cvent Event Management allows you to assign tasks to each exhibitor or speaker and can send reminders to those with incomplete tasks.
Cons
- The "Badges and Certificates" feature can use some work. This is where you build out your name badges, invoices, receipts, etc. The system works but the build feature is difficult to line everything up and navigate. Also, building the receipts/invoices can be difficult to adjust for when things for to multiple pages. It doesn't allow you to pre-program margins so it just continues to the top of the next page without leaving additional space.
- Processing payments for multiple registrations at once after the registrations have already been submitted could also be improved. Currently, the only opportunity you have to submit a payment for a full group is when they register initially. After that phase, if you need to enter a check payment or process a credit card after they've finalized their registration, you have to go into each attendees record to process the payment which can get tedious.
- I would like to see a functionality where we can collect actual signatures during the registration process vs. just having a check box available. For some of the more sensitive materials we need our attendees to approve of, an actual signature feature would be very beneficial.
- The Cvent suite of events has drastically reduced redundant work throughout our events department allowing us to streamline a lot of the registration/software aspects of our events and allow us to focus on other areas of our events that had previously been placed on the back burner.
- Since Cvent Event Management is so widely use, many of our attendees, exhibitors and speakers are familiar with the platform so they are able to seamlessly operate within it for their needs with little to no learning curve.
- We're able to pull more accurate and customized reports based on specific information we need with each event.
- We able to offer our registrants a more customized experience with their registration and event platforms. This allows us to customize and innovate our events in new ways we previously hadn't been able to.
Some of the platforms we have used don't show up in the options available to select, but Cvent Event Management is definitely one of the most customizable and intuitive platforms we have used. They are also very consistent with their brand in the quality of the product they offer. Other platforms I have used have been just as good, but usually only in certain features of their event suite as a whole. Usually 1 piece of their platform is their base and is the best part of the platform and from there everything just "works" or is good but not held to the same standard as their primary product. With Cvent Event Management, each aspect is treated as a key element to their whole product so none of it feels neglected or out of date.
