Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
I used to use Dropbox for my graphic design business and it worked well to collaborate with clients. Now I use it for my boutique biz to collaborate with my employees for inventory tracking and more. I also use it as my online backup for all my files, photos, etc for both business and personal.
Pros
- Ability to have online and offline content available
- Easy to use folder structure and system (like it way better than Google Drive)
- Good support system
Cons
- I don't necessary like when people receive a shared Dropbox link to view something that it almost implies they need an account. I feel I don't want to force those I share with to join Dropbox.
- It helps keep me organized for sure
- When I update to a new computer, most of my files are in Dropbox so its easy to access from other devices, this makes updating equipment less of a headache.
I appreciate Dropbox's seamless organization, mirroring the familiar folder structure on my Mac. Its visibility on the desktop enhances searchability, making it a user-friendly experience. Despite my loyalty to Apple products for over two decades, I find iCloud less appealing and choose not to use it. On the other hand, Google Drive feels cumbersome to navigate, and I sincerely hope Dropbox maintains its distinctive organization, steering clear of the complexities associated with iCloud and Google Drive.
