Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

I use it to keep files safe and accessible to all devices. I also have lots of software that connects to it for website backups, document sync, document backups, large document trees, etc.

Pros

  • Syncing Files between devices and the cloud
  • Making it easy to share files
  • Making it easy to backup files

Cons

  • The lack of support and features for Linux is almost enough to drop the service.
  • Search should allow more granular and precise options
  • I have referred Dropbox to customers, for whom it was a win
  • Being able to automate processes using integrators that connect to Dropbox
  • It has saved me a lot of time.
Lack of linux support, even more integration support.

Do you think Dropbox delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Dropbox's feature set?

Yes

Did Dropbox live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Dropbox go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Dropbox again?

Yes

Many file sharing and backup scenarios are well supported by Dropbox. The features that are available for Dropbox on Mac and Windows are not available for Linux - this is a major failing. There was one instance where I had to use Google Drive instead of Dropbox for a RAG file system - Dropbox did not allow file watching or something.
