Overall Satisfaction with Fin by Intercom

Fin is assigning chats to the correct departments. Fin is replying to very basic customer questions, then hands over to a real person.

Pros

  • Understanding the context of chat.
  • Finding information from documentation.
  • Being polite when hackers are trying to exploit the chat.
  • Also being humorous - once Fin mentioned to a customer who complained about our prices, something about selling their organs.

Cons

  • Fin's doing great, I don't really have anything negative to say.
  • We haven't measured it yet. But we have reduced FIN usage specifically in chats due to people asking for real-person support. I have feedback that says something like "I really need help, but you're throwing me with bots just feels like a slap in the face".
It's very usable, and as I said, there's a lot of help available when setting it up. It does its job really well, and it can handle a lot of chats, really, but people may not feel just comfortable yet with support bots, since most of them are crap.
We don't use integrations with FIN agent.
Intercom is just so much better; Our company was using both Zendesk and Intercom for two different products we offer. We brought them all over to Intercom, and they are really happy about the shift. They didn't use any AI in Zendesk, though, so Fin is their first experience with AI. I have never used any AI on any other platform either.

It's fairly easy to set up, and Intercom support is always helpful. Also, you can use Intercom's FIN to set up your own FIN. And their FIN has a big knowledge base.
