Overall Satisfaction with Formstack Forms

We use Formstack Forms primarily to collect information from our clients that we then use to provide them with services.

Pros

  • Options to receive different types of information (numbers, short/long answers, as well as file uploads)
  • Organization of form into multiple pages
  • Ability to save progress and come back later to complete the form

Cons

  • It would be nice if Formstack Forms gave users greater stylistic control when creating the forms. Currently, some fonts are too large or too small and can't be controlled. It would also be nice to have more control over the section dividers/spacing between areas.
  • When creating forms, the input box for descriptions is a bit unwieldy. You have to click on "Edit Description Area" to open up a box to edit the text. It would be nice to not have to go this additional step.
  • It would be nice to be able to preview the form in a "preview" page that doesn't require you to have to input fake information (in a multi-page form) in order to see/review the next page. Having to input sample information again and again throughout the editing process becomes very time consuming.
  • Formstack Forms has really helped us in our client data collection for important everyday business functions. It's a great way to get info from clients and organize it meaningfully.
  • It's definitely improved our efficiency due to the smooth data output.
  • We've been able to coordinate client data collected through Forms with exporting results to our mailbox for efficient and timely processing.
I haven't used SurveyMonkey in a while, but in my recent experience, Formstack Forms offers great functionality and ALSO integrates with the other Formstack products we have, such as Formstack Documents and Formstack Sign. This additional perk of integrations makes the beneficial experience with Formstack Forms that much more helpful and useful.

Do you think Formstack Forms delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Formstack Forms's feature set?

Yes

Did Formstack Forms live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Formstack Forms go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Formstack Forms again?

Yes

It's easy to learn how to use, generally easy for clients to use, and overall I've never had an overwhelmingly negative experience with it. While there are a few tweaks that could make it really shine, Formstack Forms serves almost all our needs and we're super happy with it.
Formstack Forms support is okay. For certain account related things, there is the ability to speak with an agent, but usually, the "chat" on Formstack just routes you to a bot and to their Knowledge Base. Ideally, Formstack Forms would have a team of dedicated human agents to assist with questions that, quite honestly, often need human answers. The bot issue is the biggest drawback of the support feature.
For most purposes, Formstack Forms is really good. You can ask all kinds of questions, split up the form into multiple pages, and save your progress to come back later. On the other hand, it isn't aesthetically all that pleasing/doesn't give you much control over the stylistic elements (including font, size, spacing). These things would offer a finishing touch to Formstack Forms that would really set it apart.

Using Formstack Forms

2 - Operations and Analyst
2 - Skills required to support Formstack Forms include high technological proficiency. The ability to understand how to edit web forms is crucial, and the ability to use boolean operators and have a moderate understanding of basic programming is useful as well. It depends on the level of use you're seeking to achieve with Formstack.
  • Information-Gathering Surveys
  • Questionnaires
  • Input forms that generate an outputted document (such as a letter)
  • Use a questionnaire to collect information to generate a letter
  • Use a form to collect information to help employees perform tasks
  • We are planning to discontinue using Formstack Forms in the future because we have located an all-in-one platform that eliminates our need for FF.
We have located an all-in-one platform that may be able to serve our form-related needs, eliminating our need for Formstack. In addition, one of the things we don't like about Formstack is that it's difficult/impossible to customize the style of the forms. Usually the font cannot be changed and comes out much too large. It also does not have the ability to create tables (though you can create something similar called a matrix).
