The ultimate call critiquing tool
Overall Satisfaction with Gong
It’s used to record and analyse outbound business calls to find coaching points, summarise conversations and identify patterns within the business that can be used to form improvement points. It can also be used for AI generated follow-ups and to track conversations. We’re an outbound heavy sales organisation so it’s really helpful.
Pros
- Near Instant AI Generated Followups
- Great UI very clear
- Coaching points on calls
Cons
- Quicker analysis speed
- Quicker upload speed
- A more intuitive dashboard of recent performance trends
- Saving time by analysing calls
- Giving training points leading to upskilling
- AI generated follow-ups save time and increase quality
Gong always provides coaching points after each call for the user to reflect and make easy adjustments to calls to improve their quality. Alongside this it provides analysis which can summarise for either the caller to reflect on or another user this has been shared with to get a quick snapshot of what was covered. This saves everyone time and means nothing is missed.
This is something I’ve used less in Gong vs the main call playback and analysis features. The platform itself might have this market analysis elsewhere but even in the newsletters and tips provided from Gong’s own analysis and studies helps our sales team adjust their approach on calls to find the most effective way to get a positive result.
8x8 is a lot clunkier than Gong with a less intuitive interface. It also doesn’t have the AI features that Gong does and is purely to listen back to calls without any actionable takeaways or coaching points - so Gong is way better. It has a tonne more features so definitely recommend.
