Overall Satisfaction with Gong
Vasion uses Gong to record sales conversations and review calls. The AI tool in Gong is used to create clear next steps or to write a follow up email based on a specific call. Integration with Salesforce and Google have been critical for Vasion to be able to manage deal Velocity and have visibility/transparency into each deal.
Pros
- Conversation interrogation to develop clear next steps.
- Dashboard to view details of each opportunity.
- Integration with other systems - Salesforce, Google, etc.
Cons
- Navigation through the platform is not as intuitive as an end user would desire.
- Would be amazing to have a note taking feature that integrates into the opportunity notes section in Salesforce.
- Would be great to have faster access to recordings and AI tools. Can take 30 minutes to hours to get access to the recordings.
- Time savings for reps to write professional follow up emails.
- Visibility into deal Velocity and suggested next steps/frequency of contact.
- Good identification of customer interest and a recap of meetings.
Gong does provide insights into the recording of the call. Many times the follow up email needs to be edited to be more clear. At times the insights provided are not relevant. For deal management, the insights seem to be fairly good. For my, because Salesforce is still necessary, I don't use Gong as often for deal management.
Gong has not provided me with customer trends or market trends. This could be due to user inexperience or lack of platform training.
Gong seems to provide more clarity than Salesforce Einstein, or Chorus by ZoomInfo. All of these systems have specific features that are important and valuable and each work in different ways to provide clarity into the sales process. I find that using these in parallel seems to be the most effective and having only Gong would not be robust.
