Overall Satisfaction with GoTo Connect

We use GoTo Connect for our business communication and Teleconferencing was well as inbound business calls via the call flow that can be programmed to route inbound calls to our voice mailboxes during holidays and off hours.

Pros

  • GoTo Connect routes calls using programming, which is particularly useful for our business purposes.
  • GoTo Connect lets us record calls, which is particularly useful for our business purposes.
  • GoTo Connect comes with GoToMeeting which lets us do teleconferencing and chat while on calls.

Cons

  • GoTo Connect is so good it is hard to think of weaknesses or missing functionality. Maybe making chatting within the office easier.
  • GoTo Connect call quality diagnostic tools sometimes are lacking.
  • It is so nice not to have to maintain equipment like we used to have to do before GoTo Connect was selected.
  • Setup of the call tree or call routing is very doable and can be managed without outsourcing to a paid service provider.
We've been using GoTo Connect for our business for years now, and it's completely changed how we handle communication day-to-day. I love that everything—phones, video meetings, and team messaging—is in one place, with a single admin portal that makes managing it all feel straightforward instead of overwhelming. We can see missed calls or voicemails (which transcribe automatically—super handy). For client meetings, firing up a video call is effortless. I just click to start one from the app, share my screen if needed, and everyone joins easily, even if they're remote. No more juggling separate tools for calls and Zoom-like meetings; it's all integrated. From an admin perspective, setting up new users or tweaking call flows with the drag-and-drop dial plan editor is intuitive. It really does make things easier. It's made us more connected and productive. If you're looking for a user-friendly, system, this is how I'd describe living with GoTo Connect—it just works in the background so we can focus on the real stuff.
Amazon Connect is way harder to configure and get working than GoTo Connect is to setup.

Recording meetings during GoToMeeting calls is helpful. One area where GoTo Connect is less appropriate may be when you are in a classroom environment. Although this is not a key need for us I could see how this might be something needed for some purposes. Overall we have found GoTo Connect to work well for us.
