Overall Satisfaction with Hootsuite

We use Hootsuite to manage our inbound messages, day-to-day scheduling, analytics, trend tracking, and so much more. The product helps us navigate social media and effectively plan among our team. Without Hootsuite we would be unable to effectively manage the 4 platforms we are active on and furthermore would struggle to make approvals easier.

Our biggest reason for taking on Hootsuite was of course me, but also for their exceptional analytics tools!

  • Greater post performance and improvement through analytics tracking
  • Quicker response times and more earned visibility as a result to tags etc.
Extremely easy interface even for your boss who may not know anything about scheduling tools. Easy to set up approvals for them to use and even easier for you to learn how to use the tool. Few features feel hidden or unknown. If you're worried about Hootsuite's complexity, don't be.
Inbox 2.0 makes it super easy to keep up with all mentions and tags. It allows us to be there when it matters and always show up.

With respect to brand consistency, it's easy to see what's going out and where. Which helps us see what kind of image we are creating on each channel and how we are using each.

With easy approvals and scheduling we can ensure our social content shows up consistently and efficiently.
Metricool has an excellent free plan and a wonderful plethora of features. However, I selected Hootsuite due to being more familiar with the brand overall and its reputation. I also find its interface to be more appealing and consequently more accessible. For any in-house team, I would select Hootsuite over Metricool unless your budget is very tiny.

Yes

Less appropriate for teams with small budgets. Well suited for any organization, no matter the size, that has a decent yearly budget for social. If you're managing more than 2 platforms (IG & Facebook), Hootsuite is the way to go.

Another note, I would not recommend Hootsuite for agencies at this time. I feel their niche is more focused on in-house marketers. There are other options that would perform better and be more cost-effective for agencies like HeyOrca.
