Good for small-sized agencies but still falls short
Overall Satisfaction with Hootsuite
My organization uses Hootsuite to manage social media accounts for digital clients from a variety of sectors (authors, brands, personalities, small businesses). We use the software to post content on their behalf (videos, photos, text, etc). It helps us schedule multiple posts at the same time without having to do it manually or log onto the social media platform directly.
Pros
- Scheduling content
- Ease of use
- Priced well
Cons
- Tagging Facebook pages
- Increasing number of profiles
- Allowing users to run analytic reports for more profiles
- Time savings with scheduling
- Community and content moderation
- Enhanced data-driven decision making through reporting
One of Hootsuite's main strengths is showing the comments and feedback on the content within its software and on the dashboard. This keeps everything in one place and offers enhanced access and usability for organizations and agencies like mine. It's also a great tool for scheduling content across multiple channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X) without having to log into multiple different platforms, such as Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, and X separately. This saves us time and therefore money.
When it comes to price, Hootsuite comes in behind Sprout Social. It also is behind Sprout when it comes to how many profiles or pages users can use, manage, and analyze through its reporting analytic tools. But, Hootsuite does outperform Sprout Social in sentiment analysis and in its link shortening tools.
