Great Product for Comprehensive Marketing Needs
Overall Satisfaction with HubSpot
As a HubSpot partner agency, we use the platform in several different comprehensive ways. Our sales team uses it to track and manage prospects and deals as they move through the sales pipeline. The marketing team consistently uses it to manage the entire website as well the content we produce, the leads we generate, keyword and page analysis, you name it. The client services team uses it as a tool to manage client sites and all their marketing and campaign efforts under one roof so they can track their websites results. Ultimately, the platform shows you every day the ROI you receive when you view the Dashboard revealing your site's goals and how close( or above) you are with them.
Pros
- List management tool really allows you to compile almost anything you can think of, whether you want a list based on contact properties, demographics, locations, etc., it's easy to be able to collect the list you want.
- Content management using the calendar to schedule posts for the month while creating the post for you so you can click through to it and begin writing. This makes it easy to stay organized and on top of your planned content for the month.
- WYSIWYG Template editor is a great tool to use for those who aren't fluent in developing by hand. It helps you manage your website pages on your own. It is a highly user-friendly environment. And if you're ever confused, there's always the tutorials and documentation to help you out.
Cons
- Emails are always a pain to get looking nicely in the big email clients, unless you really keep them to the bare minimum. It would be nice to see some prebuilt email templates, or, a better UI to create the emails so they have the potential to look more attractive.
- Hubspot support does an excellent job of getting most questions answered, although it would be useful on occasion to have access to asking very complex questions to developers, rather than waiting for the support rep to ask them for you.
- There is a decent learning curve to using the software to its full potential and it's definitely a time investment to do so, yet worth it in the end if you are able to understand it.
- Its ability to track the keywords we choose to monitor, there value, and how you rank for them has allowed us to better gauge what content our target audience is looking for, and what keywords they need to contain. Articles that have been produced after analyzing these always help boost traffic.
- Emails sometimes get sent out with development flaws, which can hamper your open and click rates.
HubSpot competitors don't stand a chance against them. The immense amount of integrations the platform offers, the full circle marketing efforts it offers in the software, and its continuous improvements make it a worthwhile product. I'd suggest doing your research before settling on another option simply because it seems cheaper. It ultimately may not be very valuable to your goals.
