Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training

A baseline campaign was deployed for entire organization but we are able to target specific departments for phishing campaigns. This program does raise social engineering awareness. With our baseline results, we were able to target specific users for remediation and craft specific training programs for these users to improve their overall security awareness.
  • Makes interesting training videos
  • Uses convincing methods to raise social engineering awareness
  • Makes performing a phishing campaign very easy
  • Use of the phishing button makes reporting spam a breeze
  • UI improvements
  • You can't place a value on network security
  • You can't place a value on end user awareness
  • You can't place a value on making security fun
We selected the KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training because of the breadth of the content available. There is also a gamification aspect to the trainings so we can have a leaderboard and get our departments to compete with one another. I also like that they have an ongoing mini series and it feels like I am watching a series on Netflix.

We are just ramping out the training content portion of KnowBe4 [Security Awareness Training]. Right now we have a few training videos for new hires when they start. We are going to expand this to make training content to be available to everyone on demand whenever they want it. This won't be a mandatory training but will be good to reinforce people that did not pass the phishing campaign.
We add user's during onboarding. We assign by different companies.
Percentage of people that have completed the trainings and how they scored on the tests.
[KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training] works great for simulated phishing campaigns and raising end user awareness. This is suited for IT Security professionals that want to see what the current security aptitude of the end users is at. In KnowBe4 [Security Awareness Training] we are able to manage all users with very granular details in the simulated phishing campaign details. I think some of the scenarios where it is less appropriate is that it tries to be too cute with some of their landing pages. I understand humor can help in some situations but for security I'm not sure that it is appropriate

KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training New Features

We don't use these because we had started this program long ago and made it part of our onboarding process. We create accounts manually. If we have alot of accounts we will import by csv.
The automation process in KnowBe4 is very good. I like the fact that I can predefine next steps based on a training that someone took. I can even pre-define next steps for what happens to someone if the click on a simulated phishing campaign and queue up the next training for them to take and also set the complete by date. It's nice that the follow ups are programmed in KnowBe4 as well.
KnowBe4 [Security Awareness Training] does a great job with offering a variety of different ways to improve end user security awareness. Through the campaigns themselves, it raises awareness by walking a fine line when a user clicks on a link. We do not want to shame or discourage people from security by clicking on links but I think this product does a good job of informing a user of what they did rather than shaming them. This makes the product very usable.
We do not take advtanage of the PhishER capability at this time. It is something we have mentioned to the Head of IT. We have challenges because of implementing in an O365 tenant that is managed by our HQ in another country. I have watched the demo's of PhishER and we would love to bring it in house one day.

Using KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training

500 - We represent all of our business functions in Kyowa. Everyone is enrolled in security awareness training. it is also part of new hire orientation so we get their awareness started when they join the company.
2 - Our KnowBe4 admins are also system administrators with a security background.
  • Raise Email Security Awareness
  • Raise Social Engineering Awareness
  • Reporting capabilities of KnowBe4's phishing campaigns are the best in class
  • We have used this to host monthly meet ups to watch the security episodes
  • We could use this in a group setting or a dept setting to get everyone collaborating on a training at one time.
It has been effective for our organization. The value of the content is tremendous. The topics are very broad and i am never searching for particular piece of content and not finding it. Adding the phishing simulations adds even more value. If someone fails the phishing simulation, training is queued up automatically.

When reviewing products, we looked for the industry leader and KnowBe4 was very well regarded for security awareness. They are regularly conducting webinars and I even see KnowBe4 speakers during security conferences.
I don't think I would change a thing. It's been a great product so far.

We have their platinum package. We did not choose it for the support but because of the additional training content available. Typically I will reach out to our account reps before contacting support. I do this because the account reps are very responsive and will setup a meeting with me quickly. If they do not know the answer they will refer me to the support.
The sales reps always provide great support. I goto them first and they respond quick, are knowledgable, and give me plenty of insight on how to resolve my problem.
I've worked with KnowBe4 [Security Awareness Training] support for a couple of tickets and I work with our sales manager. Our sales manager is terrific and is always available to meet or talk. When I've reached out to support they've resolved and responded to our issues in a very timely manner. They have been wonderful to work.
