Overall Satisfaction with Litmus
We use Litmus in our organization to do email proofs with our teams and across other teams. Litmus allows us to leave feedback for one another and share various emails with many people in the organization. It is genuinely a great tool to share out our weekly emails and then larger campaign emails. The specific problem the product addresses would be allowing us to find a better way to leave feedback for emails and also see how the email can look across several platforms (email/phone).
- Proofs
- Previews Q&A
- Organization (Creating different folders for email)
- Shareability (being able to share the email/email campaigns with others)
- Sometimes I won't always receive feedback (comments/approval) emails
- There have been moments were it has been difficult to leave comments
- Sometimes it can be difficult to look through the folders b/c everything begins to open up - it is nice to just have the section I am looking for open up rather than the entire year b/c then I am closing all of those sections in the folders
- Shorter email review cycles
- Viewing email within different platforms (email/phone)
- Sharability across the organization is huge for us
We do not use Litmus for analysis of our emails. We use Customer.io & Google Analytics for analysis. We primarily use Litmus to see the email as proof (what it can look like on outlook, on gmail on your phone, etc.) and to share the emails with other individuals within our company since many higher-ups/regional folks are taking a look at these emails.
I cannot speak to the performance metrics since we use Customer.io for performance metrics for email (CTRs, ORs, etc.) However, I can speak to what it is like for our teams to be able to use Litmus as a platform for feedback. I primarily send emails to the east coast. It is crucial for those regional directors/leads to be able to see these emails/leave feedback before they go out. We have been able to add plus-ups or catch anything that needs to go before sending the email out due to having these proofs available in Litmus. Additionally, when we run larger-scale campaigns, it is so important for us to have a place where individuals across the organization can leave feedback and share across the teams to see if the vision is something we are truly looking for.
The Litmus Proof feature has reduced review cycle time. Individuals are able to review the emails days before we send them out and leave any specific pieces of comments and feedback. We are also able to share out the emails across the organization which is extremely helpful for big pulse moments.
I have not used any product like Litmus before. Litmus has been our primary source for proofs.

Litmus Feature Ratings
Using Litmus
3 - (There are 3 main individuals who use Litmus including myself; however, we do share our Litmus proofs with many others within the company.) We use Litmus to send over email proofs to other teams that we are collaborating on content with or we send proofs to regional leads who have to make sure the emails follow state protocols and we also send proofs amongst one another to proof check things.
3 - Our team is within Litmus weekly, so we are the individuals in-house who support Litmus on an on-going basis. However, other than us 3, we do not have anyone within the system itself. We are the ones creating folders, organizing things, sending specific emails to proof in, etc.
