Overall Satisfaction with Litmus
Every email that I start, begins in Litmus. Early on I created an email development system using Litmus. In this system, I've made a lot of email snippets based on rows such as two columns, three columns, content with a background image, and many other snippets that allow me to drag and drop into branded templates. Using this system, I can quickly create simple to very complex emails. The design library enables me to store templates and brand colors. From the email build area, I can quickly test my email design to make sure it works in all the email clients our customers use. I then use Collaborate to send a link to our project managers that allow them to proof the email before moving it to the ESP.
- Litmus is a must have tool to use for testing your email design in many email clients at once. Super easy and fast.
- It's very easy to send a link to a project manager to proof an email. They can make comments and ask questions right on the proof and Litmus will send me email notices of any proof comments or an approval.
- I absolutely love the drag ad drop snippets that allows me to quickly build any email I need, from simple to complex.
- The folder system can become a bit confusing when you have a lot of email designs. It would be better to show the folders first, rather than all of the emails at once. It's also a bit of a task to move emails to different folders. They should have drag-and-drop between folders.
- The Litmus Chrome app is supposed to allow you to view an email that you have in your ESP in a browser window without leaving the ESP. This only works once in a while. It should be more consistent.
- Litmus should have developer notes in the build section. Some designs take days to develop and test. It would be nice to have notes to remember things throughout the building process.
- We save a LOT of time in proofing emails. In the past, we would rely on having to send proof emails back and forth. Now, after I develop and test an email, I send a link to the project manager to proof the email. They can log on and make comments and suggestions right on the proof email.
- Email development is much quicker with Litmus. With design snippets and templates, I can quickly drag and drop to put a complex email together. It's then a quick push of the button to test and proof. This has saved us lots of time and money in our ROI with Litmus.
- Accuracy of our emails are much better using Litmus testing. One click and we can test in a multitude of email clients saving a lot of time and making or email review cycle much shorter.
The multiple email testing in Litmus has allowed us to develop emails much more quickly than we were able to in the past. We used to test in the ESP which sometimes took 20 minutes. Now it takes seconds to test emails. This allows us to troubleshoot problems very quickly and fix them. Now we can efficiently build, test and proof an email in a fraction of the time it took us in the past.
Litmus Proof allows us to save time that in the past we spent emailing proofs back and forth for corrections. Now I can send a link to a project manager and they can make comments, suggestions, and approvals right on the proof itself. This has reduced our review cycle time immensely.
Campaign Monitor is good but Litmus seems to be more solid and "fully baked". We liked the flow of the Litmus build process better and Litmus Proof really sealed the deal.
