Overall Satisfaction with LogicMonitor

We use it to monitor a wide range of systems and applications. We monitor physical, virtual, and cloud machines, running Windows and Linux. We also monitor network equipment, as well as in-house and 3rd party applications. LogicMonitor allows us to get real-time alerts on the things we care about, allowing us to customize our configuration so we don't get overloaded with random events. It's highly customizable to meet our needs.
  • Real-time alerts
  • Great dashboards to visualize data
  • Technical support
  • Network configuration changes
  • Phone support
  • Training curriculum
  • Greater visibility on critical alerts.
It can do so much more. And specifically can do everything we needed. Monitor a wide range of products and solutions. A lot of options to customize alerts, what triggers and alerts, who gets them, and how they get escalated.
Overall, it's great; a lot of knowledgeable individuals on the support team. I just wish they also had the option for phone support, not just chat.
It's a combination of everything, cloud, and on-premise. Also, physical and virtual. Spread over a handful of locations, and all easily managed by distributed collectors that are easy to deploy.
No additional on-premises infrastructure to manage other than the collectors themselves. Upgrades to the solution have rarely caused any issues. It truly is something that you can set and almost forget, sure everything needs maintenance from time to time but it really doesn't need a lot of maintenance.
The thing that has helped us to do the most is to quickly visualize what matters. We highly leverage the dashboards and it's a great way to see data in graphs and to be able to go through months of data to detect anomalies as well as normal patterns.
I like how simple it is to add devices to be monitored. There are built-in templates to detect critical events from your system but it's also customizable to add more (as supported by each particular vendor). Also, the events are customizable too, which is great to turn off unwanted alerts for the things that are not relevant.
