Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp

Mailchimp is used within three departments in our company. Its widely used for our contact forms, saving leads/contact and mass mailing our subscribers. The biggest problem it solves is the integration with Salesforce. This helps us to add leads into Salesforce whenever a new contact is added into Mailchimp.
  • The interface is simple and customizable
  • The analytics are very detailed
  • Good support team
  • Detailed guides available to help you do almost anything
  • Setting up automated emails can get difficult
  • Pricing is on the higher side
  • Some landing page and contact form designs are too restrictive
  • Increased visibility of campaigns
  • Took some time to setup as there's a small learning curve involved
sendgrid works well if you are [a] developer, want more data, and managing many lists. Mailchimp, on the other hand, works on simplicity and provides an easy way to set up landing pages and forms.
It gets a nine from me for the fact that it's easy to set up templates and Mailchimp allows to setup almost anything in an easy way. The reporting tool also helps us in getting relevant data to target our users more easily.
[A] few years back my company was paying separately for all the tools, plus the data was not within one platform. Now with Mailchimp, everything is in one place, the administration has been simple as all the data is available in a single panel. The ability to add new recipients easily is also a plus.
The most important one would be tags. Tags [have] made the life of our marketing team so much easier. All they do is click on the tag and bam, the contact list is sorted exactly how they want. It has been such a [lifesaver.]
Mailchimp is well suited to organize your contacts and mass mail them easily, plus [it's] easy to integrate it on your website. For beginners, it can get a little difficult as the user interface isn't really friendly and you need to keep on looking at the guides again and again.
