Microsoft Office 365 (Cloud)

Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)

We use Microsoft 365 for many of its programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive across the entire company. Our users can log into their 365 account and download programs to their computers as they need to, or just operate exclusively out of 365. It handles most of our day to day program needs, outside of the more industry specific programs.
  • Gives you availability of your files and functions within a web format so that you don't need to have your computer in order to get to your files, emails or needed programs.
  • In some cases, it gives you more features than the downloaded versions offer on their own.
  • Allows space to store files in the cloud, on a secure server, instead of saving items to your computer. Computers can fail, but your files don't have to be lost. Then when you get your new computer, you just download what you need and keep moving.
  • Navigating around the Microsoft 365 menu can be hard to find what you need sometimes, and it is not always clear if you can't find it because your organization hasn't opened it up to you, or it is not available in general.
  • Trying to find the recordings for Teams meetings is not straight forward if you are just looking around Microsoft 365. It is easier to find them by finding a meeting with a recording and clicking on that to get to the area where all the files are.
  • If you have additional email inboxes, they won't show up in your 365 Outlook automatically like they do in the downloaded version.
  • The ability to quickly set up new computers with trusted programs and user access
  • The ability to have information and programs on the go, and less tied to individual user machines
  • Definitely improved risk mitigation. When we were hit with ransomware, our users were able to still get to their email through Microsoft 365 without compromising other computers
  • We do see increased efficiency in not requiring IT to physically load all programs on machines, where we can just download them onto our computers when needed
  • Allows us to increase our paperless capabilities with the OneDrive saving and easier file sharing
The Microsoft 365 suite brings together a lot of the familiar programs into one location where you can quickly get what you need done. For office work, it is just the next evolution of the Microsoft products we have all been familiar with.

Do you think Microsoft 365 delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Microsoft 365's feature set?

Yes

Did Microsoft 365 live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Microsoft 365 go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Microsoft 365 again?

Yes

Great for general day to day office work, especially if you want the flexibility to get to your information whenever and where ever. It may not be ideal for people that aren't familiar with programs and technology as they might find it too intimidating. Whereas, downloaded programs may feel more familiar and may be less likely to confuse them.
