Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams is used for day to day chatting, sync ups daily standups, and internal video conferencing. Microsoft Teams is our chat platform, which we use to collaborate on projects, sync up on deadlines, and connect with our team. It's a great tool to help keep our global and distributed team connected.
- iOS app -- the app works great and easily facilitates calling and video conferences.
- The video conferencing features is great. We no longer have to leave and use a Google Hangout.
- Notification preferences are useful and easy to navigate when you need things like OOO or do not disturb.
- Notification customizations. Sometimes I don't hear or see notifications, and I can't find a way to improve it.
- The video calling is a little laggy. It's not quite as smooth as something like Zoom.
- It's unfortunate that each team by default has multiple channels (unlike Slack).
- Better team collaboration: it's been a big help in connecting on projects.
- Team calling: it helps us connect to each other, wherever we are physically.
- Daily standups: it's helped us establish a daily standup, which helps us be more productive with our day.
Slack is a little more user-friendly and has way more integrations. For example, we use Gmail, and Google products don't integrate with Microsoft Teams, so we lost that functionality. But Slack is also really expensive, and Microsoft Teams has a much better free plan. It's a great tool if you're on a budget.
