Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams

I use Microsoft Teams for 50%-75% of my day. It's far and away the most utilized app on my desktop with outlook a distant second. Whether it's hosting or attending meetings, participating in individual or group chats, or leveraging Teams content and file storage. I also use it as a hub for other plugins like Workday, CoPilot, and our own Digital Bridge. I honestly don't know how I could do my job without it in our tightly connected, digital, and hybrid environ

Pros

  • Online meetings with recording and transcripts.
  • Translation for participates who don't speak the meeting's primary language.
  • Ability to organize and search content
  • Manage Outlook calendar within team
  • robust chat and group chat
  • quickly and seamlessly switch devices without loosing a word in an online meeting.
  • Provide multiple background and privacy options.

Cons

  • the calendar function can improve it's not 100% feature parody with outlook.
  • Better search for documents and contact with AI
  • offer the same security for document sharing as is available in outlook. Especially concerning PII and documents shared to "external" contacts.
  • Contact is hidden away in "Calls" and needs to be better exposed like it use too.
  • It has a positive impact on relationships among geographically remote locations. we get to meet and see each other is Realtime seemlessly.
  • We sell a lot more products and services to our partners when we can meet on Teams
  • May organizations have strict travel budgets and Teams allows is to be as close to being there as limited budgets allow.
In a Microsoft centric environment, it works perfectly. Where I think we need more is non-Microsoft environments. We have some relationships that are Cisco or IBM centric and because of Slack and Webex, we don't have a good way to interact with them in real-time like DM/chat etc.
I think Teams is closest to Slack but much more ubiquitous and also much more user friendly. I do think products like Webex and Zoom seem to have a little more preference for large scale meetings and it's based mostly on reliability and usability. In addition, Teams tie it to SharePoint makes it a really flexible tool.

Do you think Microsoft Teams delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Microsoft Teams's feature set?

Yes

Did Microsoft Teams live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Microsoft Teams go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Microsoft Teams again?

Yes

It's well suited for meetings up to about 200 or so, it doesn't seem to have a limit, but I fund most large meetings are facilitated through other tools. It is best for group communication and organization. I'm a huge fan. I wish the world was connected via team or that there were bridges to communicate at least with DM to Slack users and Webex users etc.
