Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is currently being used over the whole Company in different departments. Miro supports our main use cases. It helps with the documentation through visual diagrams, brainstorming sessions, and as a draft point for new projects and ideas. It helps us to quickly sketch our ideas and concepts while enabling a collaborative workflow within remote teams.

Pros

  • Quick draw of a diagram.
  • Contain a very complete dashboard, organized but still very detailed.
  • Collaborative tool for remote teams.
  • Easy to navigate within the boards.

Cons

  • Importing diagrams from other platforms (eg. draw.io).
  • Having access to a more diverse set of free icons.
  • Support templates for different type of diagrams.
  • Quick and collaborative meetings.
  • Stored and accessible documentation makes it easier to document projects and ideas.
  • Easy to start discussing a brand new idea.
Miro's ability to have different zoom levels for the diagrams is something that aids to leverage the desired detail and complexity of the systems. Also, by allowing to quickly draw a diagram, the central point of a meeting is never about the diagram tool, but rather focus on the content.
Miro plays nicely into our SSO integration but still lacks integration to import different diagrams and to allow to access the Miro workspaces from an online Drive Folder, like other diagram tools for example. It would be fantastic to have these types of options and also to provide templates that an organization could define and enable for the different members.
Miro has been a crucial point in helping the communication between team members that (because of current world circumstances) are remote. This has helped the team to stay engaged while at the same time helping to spread the message and able to contribute. Sharing is always quick and the tool is always available.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro gives better flexibility and a collaborative environment than the mentioned tools. Normally these tools focus more on the tools for the diagrams than on delivering a fast and easy way to set up a diagram. Miro strives on helping members to follow the current state of the board while having it organized with different zoom levels.
Miro is well suited to quickly sketch ideas about a problem/feature. It enables different members to actively contribute to the solution even if in a remote environment. It also helps maintain the current status, by allowing to iterate fast on the diagrams. Miro also strives on having a quick learning curve. Having the opportunity to work within Miro offline isn't yet a viable option.
