Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I am a teaching assistant that helps teach UI/UX design to students in a bootcamp. Our bootcamp lasts for 24 weeks and within that 24 weeks, Miro is one of the tools I help teach the students how to utilize for their current and future projects. We have many use cases where the students utilize miro in order to brainstorm and plan for their projects. They primarily use miro to create flowchart, site maps and other methodology that we teach the students such as prioritization charts, card sort and they even create user personas.
  • Simple UI
  • Available variety of boards
  • Free plans
  • There is too much to look at on the UI especially on the miroverse tab
  • I know miro is a collaboration tool, but would be nice to have some wireframing tools on the left tool belt - meaning as an example, able to crop imported imgs and manipulate the imgs.
  • I love the free plan and would love it if the plan extended the 3 free boards to more.
  • Improved productivity between cross functioning teams
  • Reduced project completion time
  • Faster response time from colleagues
I am satisfied with Miro however there are times when Miro would lag or buffered upon loading. I can only assume that Miro is updating but there is no notification if they are or when they are uploading. I think after confirming why miro lags or buffers - if it is because of an upgrade, I would highly suggest notifying or giving the users a heads up on when an upgrade is currently going on.
N/A I'm not quite sure how to answer this question. Integrating into our team and how we set up our process of brainstorming or planning? I would say there was an ease to getting it integrated with our teams. It wasn't hard to use since the UI is similar to Figma but because miro is a collaboration tool, we know there are limitations and we know we're not going to be wireframing anything in miro.
It is great since we are remote and it is a huge help to have people come together to jot down our ideas in real-time. We have seen a faster response rate and the collaboration level is high because everyone wants to collaborate. We won't have to wait for one person to finish what they're doing so we can work asynchronously without stepping on other people's toes.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

I think because miro has much more exposure to users than the other programs, other than Figma and InVision but mostly Figma. I think InVision is more coupled with Sketch and because nowadays Figma has surpassed Sketch in many ways as a wireframing tool, not a lot of people that I know are still using InVision. I think Miro has done a good job with marketing and with their free plans to get users started. This will then allow organizations and enterprises to consider using miro's business plans to keep the collaboration going.
Miro is best suited when I am going through a design sprint. We're able to come up with t-shirt size estimation and the shareable link for users to view or edit is a great feature. There is no hard decision to create your own account unless the user wants to edit the board, I like how there is an option where you don't have to make an account to view and only comment on the board. I had a colleague who didn't like miro and would prefer to use something else to collaborate and would prefer to utilize a 5-day sprint book to better use our time. I think she mentioned that the UI can be worked on more.
