Overall Satisfaction with Miro

The product addressed our business problems of finding organizations with which to streamline events. Also, we had issues with visualizing this task. Our goal was fundraising and organizing our options; Miro truly helped with this through their innovative tools. The scope of our use case was small because it remained within our organization, and we didn't collaborate on it with the organizations we found.

Pros

  • Miro streamlines the process of defining different categories. We did different types for the organizations we were looking to fundraise with.
  • Miro can sort any type of note well, including definitions and notes that were collaboratively added. These included the pros and cons for each organization.
  • Miro has great pre-built templates to start any creative or thinking process. We used them when creating different categories and notes, and beyond.

Cons

  • Miro is very detailed. I like this, but at some times, it's just too much. For example, when adding notes, there were a lot of options for it that I was not aware of and I got confused.
  • I wish Miro was more friendly to someone not familiar with programs like it. It reminded me of Figma, which I had trouble using in an internship recently.
  • I think Miro has too many options for templates. Normally this would sound crazy, but I believe that it's too hard to figure them all out. My coworkers thought the same thing.
  • Miro has helped us identify 10 unique organizations we can partner with, by using the pre-built templates to analyze the pros and cons.
  • Miro has also helped us grow our unique donations by $25-$50 per fundraising event due to its facilitating our organization search.
  • Miro has improved productivity with our team. Google Drive never really worked for us, but Miro does.
  • Project completion time has been quicker due to Miro streamlining and having preset features to work off of.
The implementation of Miro was pretty easy. I do not have any complaints about it, but I recommend providing a crash course for users, as new features are added, and old ones are removed. If that is not the case, I would still recommend implementing such a crash course and asking the user over time if they needed help. Another insight I have is that "help" or "define" buttons should be next to functions in case a user does not understand them.
I never tried the Miro integration tools myself, but my coworkers did. When we were sorting through an organization's information to identify the pros and cons of working with them, we could integrate notes into the preset builds very easily. It saved us time on creating something ourselves, it was good ease of integration.
Miro has impacted my organization's ability to collaborate on new projects by making them more streamlined. This streamlining makes the workflow faster for everyone. Because of this faster workflow, we can get projects done in less time and focus on fundraising more money for scholarships. In addition to streamlining, Miro has introduced an integrated platform for everyone to work and give input. This has created a sense of teamwork.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

I chose Miro because it was the software my organization chose. Beyond that, I would have chosen it for myself, though. I prefer it to Figma because although it is a little complicated, it's more intuitive than Figma. Especially with the preset settings. With those, Figma makes it a little harder to get to, I find, than Miro does.
Miro is well suited for planning days, different notes on different categories, and drawing comparisons and conclusions. However, it is not well suited for organizations with people who are not adept with tools like this or Figma. This is because they can be tough to figure out. This difficulty stems from Miro being so detailed and having many different options. It's just tough to keep up with and manage.
