Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We're using Miro to create boards for our remote sprint retrospectives meetings. We usually go with the same template but, from time to time we prepare a different board so we can look at problems from different perspectives, and also have some fun with it. We also use Miro for brainstorming ideas and sketching high-level solution designs and user experiences.
  • Time keeping
  • Easy to add sticky notes
  • Comments and tagging other users
  • Align the different elements on screen. It helps sometimes, but other times you're expecting the guides to show up but they don't or aren't the ones you need
  • Some features are hard to find, you kind of get to know them after you see someone using them and then you ask them how to do it
  • I missed some arrows and text orientation features
  • Improved productivity
  • Better time keeping during meetings
  • Easy to use interface that makes everyone feel welcome to participate
It's very easy to use. We can all use the tool simultaneously or do it at different times according to each person's schedule and it's great. We can be sure to share a link and everyone adds their notes prior to the meetings we have scheduled to discuss them. We never had an issue of a collision or deleting something inadvertently.
For our use cases, either Miro or Lucid would do the job. However, I find Miro easier to use: with Lucid you have to know some key combinations (e.g.: zooming in or out, dragging objects, or just scrolling your screen) ALso, in a bird's eye view, I found the objects in Miro to look a little bit nicer.
But the thing we found missing the most was not having the ability to play some music in the background while the timer was running. This is a very minor thing and not relevant enough!

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

I like using Miro for remote working sessions. I find it to work well for agile sprint retrospectives, as well as brainstorming sessions. Sketching processes, or designing user experience journeys is very easy. I'm always amazed when I see other people using Miro for completely different things, and I get curious about how to do it and am impressed with their creativity and Miro's potential.

Using Miro

  • Agile ceremonies
  • Brain storming sessions
  • Team planning
  • User journey design
  • Team planning with JIRA integration
If it was up to me, and based on my experience with other tools, I'd prefer renewing my license with Miro. However, I'm not involved in the renewal process. My perception is that tMiro plays a relevant role in the daily activities of many different teams, and it brings value to the company.

Evaluating Miro and Competitors

  • Cloud Solutions
  • Scalability
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use

Using Miro

I find Miro overall very easy to use.
Having a large variety of templates for so many different use cases, allows you to start working immediately, without too much effort. And if a template doesn't completely fulfill your needs, you can easily customize it. And then comes another great aspect, that you can create your own templates and share them with other teams.

Miro Reliability

I never had any issues using Miro, regardless of the number of people using it and accessing the same board at the same time.
I never had to worry about how big the boards are, nor how many boards exist in my company's account.
I have been using Miro for the last three years, and there was only one time when it hung for a little bit. This unplanned outage was very short and was solved in a matter of minutes. I only needed to refresh my screen. I did not need to contact the support team.
I was also never affected by planned interventions.
I never had an issue with Miro's performance. I find it to work very smoothly, with no crashes, hick-ups, or slowness.
