Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro for virtual internal collaboration, organization of materials, virtual work sessions with clients, etc. Miro helps us better collaborate virtually by providing a platform that allows both synchronous and asynchronous collab in a way that mimics how we would collaborate in real life (around a pin-up or whiteboard).
Pros
- Support for multi-user synchronous collaboration.
- Quick and easy prototype / documentation of ideas.
- A central location to visually organize content/materials.
Cons
- The text box work limit didn't seem consistent, and it is too short for some of our use cases.
- Would love the ability to create more custom shapes.
- I know it's not meant to be a design tool, but any potential for layers would be amazing.
- In our company, we should have a lot of floorplans and large images, and it's important for us to keep that information on the board so that the boards can get very laggy. Is there a way to make 'archive' certain areas of the board where it will not load when we open the webpage but rather an only load when we select that as an option? Just a thought.
- Custom post it colors would be amazing, for certain client presentation we would love to match the post its to their brand colors.
- Improved project efficiency.
- Positive feedback from clients.
It became much easier to collaborate with teams across offices and time zones. The tool did not necessarily increase cross-office projects, but it did help improve the effectiveness of our collaboration. It also acted as a platform for our internal teams to connect and have a place to post things that are more personal to maintain culture.
