Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro to organization information in client sessions, prepare presentations, run working sessions, and capture data during sessions. I leverage it for collaboration by creating working space for individuals to provide input & feedback (real time & offline). I also ask for individuals for input on visualizations and diagrams. Finally, I use it to summarize themes and action steps.

Pros

  • Use of frames to group information
  • Create links to specific spots on the page
  • Connect content together in presentation order
  • Allow freedom to place images where I want
  • Gives unlimited space (e.g., larger than powerpoint)
  • Enables multiple employees to provide input at same time

Cons

  • Text boxes don't always function well
  • Pasting content like text from other applications doesn't work right
  • Font sizing doesn't scale right
  • Tables don't always format well
  • Some of the suggested templates are too complex
  • Creativity - been able to display information in new ways
  • Getting input in an energizing way from others
  • Getting everyone in one spot on a call and focused
  • Faster collaboration
  • Expedited alignment and agreement
  • Increased sense of involvement
Overall - very smooth and productive, no issues. The web browser version is seamless. I love how you can pull up recent or team boards, start new boards, and access boards from other projects. It is also easy to give permission and add new people to boards - in and outside of your organization (very important in consulting)
I see integration by bringing in links and powerpoint slides into the Miro board. Generally, it works well (sometimes a little slow). Where I run into issues is the formatting of things like links. But generally it aids in creating effective presentations and conversations to have all the data and resources in one place.
It's made virtual connection and collaboration so much easier. I highly recommend it to any other groups and audiences. I have become a huge fan, and it is very easy to learn and pick up new insights and tricks. I wish I had more time to explore the more advanced solutions in Miro.
I find Miro to be the most user focused, and easy to navigate, with the most robust features. Log-in is easy for clients too. The basic platforms may all function about the same...but I like the visual appeal and presentation of the menus better in Miro. Generally, I think it functions a bit better
