Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Used daily with internal teams to develop projects, share knowledge and test and present ideas. Used weekly to co-design with clients in sparing sessions and workshops. Allows us to collaborate and share in one place both synchronously and asynchronously. New apps and functions are released regularly and improve existing workflows or automate new. Our most popular use cases are for design: from creating customer/user journey maps, to service design blueprints, wireframes/prototypes and especially online workshops. For data informed designs it's hands down our go to tool.

Pros

  • Ease of use for non users to immediately participate
  • Create visually pleasing layouts quickly with minimal experience and effort
  • sharing, distribution, exporting, collaboration
  • generate AI insights

Cons

  • Voting is sometimes buggy, doesnt capture correctly or needs to be restarted
  • Layers (still WIP) for drawing would speed workflows, maybe a sub-select arrow also
  • Tables are functional but not always practical/visually pleasing. We tend to draw our own using blocks which isnt great.
  • We're designing 2-day online workshops in Miro to replace what has been 2 weeks of 1-2-1 research.
  • Technology wireframing across 3 continents in real-time was easy
Highly usable and always new features. Room for improvement keeps us coming back!
Being able to design and share workshop flows quickly is a huge benefit. Recent new tools such as sticky and voting packs are a great addition. AI is improving all the time, including recent AI features that generate insights based on data and generate new outputs/docs all within one tool.
It's my go-to for most things daily; from admin using Kanban boards to project design, research and analysis. Tip: it's sometimes easier to copy and paste data into excel then into Miro to maintain formatting.

The AI improvements mean it's quicker and easier to stay within Miro to generate AI insights for research and analysis. Generating output to a document is really useful.
Easy for Business Plan. Migration to Enterprise was also highly supported by the Miro team and seamless.
Easily integrates with MS Teams and a few others tested by teams internally.
It's accelerated our online/remote offering. With AI functionality (Miro and wider) this continues to grow. With clever design, we're able to move more workshops from face-to-face to online without loosing impact.
Very similar but Miro was easier to use, and from what I see/hear from marketing reassuringly remains the market leader. With the new apps/features it's easy to see why.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Whilst it's perfectly capable of driving static, linear and non-interactive environments (e.g. passive presentations), you'll have likely chosen the wrong platform since your users will not thank you for holding them back from tools and apps designed to collaborate and share. Miro is perfect for inviting feedback and in workshops and design situations it's invaluable for speed of use, entry, and distribution. Combined with good facilitation, it's a recipe for great outputs and gives everyone an equal voice and space to participate.

Using Miro

  • online workshops
  • research & analysis
  • project collaboration
  • video conferencing
Integral part of daily workflow
