Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We utilize it for remote collaboration, idea generation, workshop preparation, and running. It is excellent for process mapping and facilitating Scrum meetings. Additionally, I use it for brainstorming.
Pros
- I love the templates.
- Communication about the product updates.
- Process mapping templates.
Cons
- I think for some of my colleagues, the variety of possibilities might be overwhelming, so maybe an easier newbie mode could be good.
- As well I am not super keen on moving some of the features to the different places.
- I very much dislike the number of boards that have accumulated over time, and then searching among them is not easy, especially if those are under different entities, although I am not sure how that happened.
- Not sure I am able to quantify in our area.
In COVID times, it was a savior and blessing. Nowadays, we are unfortunately moving a bit away from Miro and utilizing on-site workshops more, which is again a problem for remote collaborators if the organizers are not mindful enough about how to merge on-site and remote participants. Otherwise, for the asynchronous work, it remains one of the best tools.
Different kinds of tools share some similarities in usage, such as for co-creation. But it is like comparing Miro to OneNote.
