Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro for creates our process flows and mapping out how we envision our teams' cross-collaboration efforts. For escalation management and trying to design a workstream that makes sense for many parties involved, there is a constant need to be adapting, changing, editing the flow as teams / individuals change, or new processes are introduced. Miro has been helpful for an adaptable approach to the work with collaborating across our teams.
Pros
- Large offering of templates, both created by by Miro itself, but among highly rated users
- Intuitive use for exploring and creating without much familiarity with a given template
- Allows for complete customization of the text, colors, sizing, etc that really enables you to feel that your work has been personalized for your exact needs
Cons
- Being able to drag the tool box that appears upon the selection of an object; I get frustrated when I want to be able to get a full view of my process map, but that tool won't drag away from my object
- Sometimes the toggle between zooming in/out or selecting something, I with there were a hotkey or something to ease switching between the two (with my mouse wheel) because I'll forget which I'm on
- It would be really cool if there were a short video clip walkthrough for certain templates, just to get creative juices flowing when you're landing on the blank template
- Improvement to the efficiency and time on task for the flow build
- Beneficial collaboration efforts across teams
- No hard numbers, but I feel confident with the viewed results of my work
I haven't used the whiteboard directly but I like how simple the shared board via link is for partnering with global colleagues on working on a design flow. This has made it quite simple (like a word doc) to easy track and view each others developments in a visual format.

Evaluating Miro and Competitors
Yes - Replaced Microsoft Whiteboard; even though it's offered in my Teams app, I felt the Miro software was more intuitive and better fit my planning needs on the digital space.
- Ease of Use
Miro was allowing for better collaboration that Whiteboard simply wasn't offering. I also like how my images can appear when added in.
I think LucidChart is still in consideration. For now, we are happy with Miro, but I'm always open to checking out new products. It makes me appreciate what I currently use or stay curious for new features that are out there.
