Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro for a variety of functions:
- whiteboarding with my team on various day to day whiteboard type needs: mapping out data, mapping out Information Architecture, etc
- syncing with my team at standup on goals and tracks of work
- identifying user pains and problems
- prioritizing problems to solve
- brainstorming with my team on solutions to problems
- tracking my career progress journal
- hosting and facilitating retros and other team alignment activities

Pros

  • scalability - performance stays good even when the file gets BIG
  • plug ins - integrations with our other platforms
  • collaboration - easy to all hop in and align and move forward together

Cons

  • miroverse - not being able to publish updates... Figma community allows it and its a game changer... its more agile
  • keyboard shortcuts - again I am a Figma power user and often try to use the same shortcuts and they are different in Miro
  • Better export options especially for nested components.
  • quicker to team alignment on roadmap -> faster delivery
  • quicker to prioritize problems to be solved -> faster delivery
  • quicker to brainstorm solutions -> faster delivery
easy to integrate
Makes it easy to access for anyone in the org, easier to stay aligned, effectively communicate
FigJam > Miro > Lucid > Mural > Box > Freeform

Better than everything except FigJam. FigJam integration with Figma is a game changer. Also Figma community has better resources for my needs. Miro is better than anything else (besides FigJam) though. Functionality goes hard. Easy to collab, performance holds up well. Search is a little wonky at times.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

No

well suited for an org with remote participants, larger orgs

physical whiteboard may be better in fully on site orgs, smaller orgs

companies who don't already have FigJam may find it useful. With FigJam, it's not super useful.
