Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I utilize Miro to visually map out numerous processes and/or logic query's. I then continuously expand on these processes and/or logic to identify gaps or opportunities within them to make them more efficient or less redundant. I am able to utilize these visual boards to support implementation or product requests, as it enables me to clearly illustrate the present state and future possibility.
Pros
- Enables sharing across teams, whether for viewing or editing purposes!
- Supports several integrations to support complex use cases of boards.
- Excellent product layout for easy functioning!
Cons
- When creating process flows, you cannot simply create an additional step if you had initially missed out.
- Layouts shift if not locked when creating multiple maps that expand. Preferably, ratios should be maintained and not shifted.
- Only able to link steps/processes in diagramming but not mind maps, unless hyperlinking text.
- Improved collaboration of silo'd business units
- Reduced ticket/bug fix timelines by allowing cross functioning teams to visually align on processes/issues
- Enabled teams to better identify inefficiencies, which in turn improved business functioning as a whole!
Yes! This is THE game changer for cross functioning teams to work harmoniously to support product and business changes. It is extremely easy to access, utilize, follow and present Miro boards no matter what the use case is and how tech savvy individuals are. Our team is all across the world and this has enabled all of us to align on something as simple as a whiteboard!
Miro was like night and day compared to draw.io or Lucidchart for some examples. Miro enabled us to integrate multiple platforms, including Slack, into our boards and seamlessly present and collaborate on these boards live. Miro was also the most user-friendly for even the least tech savvy of team members and when working around the world, you need something easy to implement and use!
