Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro mainly to conduct co-creation activities with our clients, in addition to documenting the progress of these projects. We also use it in internal team activities, such as retrospectives, brainstorms and team management. As we are a company that works remotely, we have Miro as an important basis for our day-to-day operations in various tasks, but I would say that these are the main ones.
Pros
- Conducting co-creation workshops
- Project documentation
- Team and general information management
- Vision of projects for customers and PMO
Cons
- The application could be lighter in general, it consumes a lot of computational resources
- Sharing links can be made easier, without inducing users to register on the platform
- Exporting could also be an easier process
- The negative impact would be the value of the tool, which is still high, although I think it will pay for itself within our projects
- It's a great tool for integrating distant teams, and this impacts our culture and the way we do things, even remotely
- Thinking about team management and productivity, as it is a popular and easy-to-use tool, it certainly makes our employees' lives easier and, consequently, productive.
At the beginning of the pandemic period, in 2020, we still worked in the traditional format, and migrating to remote work was impactful at first, and honestly, I don't know what we would do without Miro. It was a fundamental tool during that period, allowing us all to have a single view of projects remotely, something unthinkable until then. As we continue to work remotely, boards continue to have an important presence in our projects.
Again, Miro was the most prominent tool on the market back in 2020, and this ease and established learnability makes us continue to use Miro. However, we have already had experience with Mural in interactions with our customers and I can say that Miro is much more versatile and convenient, especially with usability in mind. We've also used FigJam, which is a good tool, but you still need to walk a bit to get closer to Miro. Other tools have a more specific context of use, so they cannot completely replace what we do in Miro.
