Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use it for internal ideation and to run client facing external workshops. Mostly this involves taking source material or transcripts and extracting information during the design phase of learning experience design. If clients can gain access, I try to get them to participate but that rarely happens.

Pros

  • The frames and ability to group items
  • Export features tht allow us to deliver a final output
  • Ease of use and creating boards

Cons

  • Sometimes it can be glitchy and I can´t select items so I have to close and open
  • Sharing the board virtually can sometimes be a challenge as far a legibility which results in lots of zooming
  • Helped enormously during the design phase to imporove the quality
  • A usefuly team tool
It´s helped with internal teams. Sometimes it doesn´t land as well externally because of access issues or legibility
The frame feature is the real distinguisher

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Positives: Workshopping, ideation, synthesizing of disperate information, wireframing.
Negatives: Rejected by a lot of client firewalls. When sharing, the experience can be a bit dizzing

Using Miro

  • Internal ideation
  • Design workshops
  • Virtual activity
  • Custom templates for two day workshops
  • Use outputs for deliverables
  • Plan and map learning experiences

Miro Training

I think it depends on how you use it & if the exisiting templates are useful or not
