Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro for almost everything. I use it for brainstorming ideas, I use it for helping my clients develop their business, I use it for relaying and delegating tasks to my team.
As a former engineer, the white board was our best friend. Miro serves as a virtual white board for me. I've used other tools for brainstorming such as Milanote, Visio, and a few others. Nothing is as easy and intuitive as Miro.

Pros

  • White Boarding
  • Brainstorming
  • Task Delegation
  • Collaboration (It's very good at this)

Cons

  • Highlighting Post-its with emojis or symbols is a challenge. For example I may have a post-it that I want to highlight and come back to for a specific reason. When I use emojis now, it places it in the post-it like text. I want to be able to place a fire or #1 emoji "on-top-of" a post-it so I can visually see what I need to go back to.
  • Offline Mode - This one really bothers me. I travel a lot and those are amazing opportunities to knock out focused undistracted work. Unfortunately unless the airline has internet and I pay for it, I can't work on anything that I've used for Miro. This is by far the most important thing that holds Miro back.
  • Organization - I have noticed an update that appears to provide a way to better organize my boards. I have fully dug into it yet but that's an area that needs work. A better way to organize my different boards would be amazing and eliminate the chaos.
  • Additional Templates - I have a few businesses, one of them being a marketing agency. It would be nice to have templates that are related to content creation.
  • Ease of collaboration - This has saved me countless hours and stress. Old products such as Visio and Milanote lacked collaborative features. With more time and more mental capacity, I am able to accomplish more.
  • There has been a reduced project completion time. For example when designing websites. I am able to clip a snippet of a website we are designing, draw an arrow to exactly where we need to work, and apply a post-it with direction. This has saved us a ton of hours and back and forth via Whatsapp directing the team on what needs to be done.
  • There is a financial return for sure. I just don't have those hard numbers at the moment.
If you mean the implementation of Miro in our organization. I feel like the implementation was easy. I like how Miro includes step-by-step actions to learn and implement new features. It's quite intuitive.
You've done a great job with step-by-step instructions of new features.
It is an amazing tool for that. I use it for all of my meetings, brainstorming and ideation sessions. I love how we can collaborate on the same board no matter where we are in the world. It makes things so much easier.
Milanote doesn't offer the mind map functionality and is so rigid.
Microsoft Visio is overpriced, does not have a collaborative feature, and was very clunky.
Adobe PhotoShop is a great artistic tool, but it is not easy to use for brainstorming. I tried.
