Overall Satisfaction with Miro
As an organization use Miro mainly as a brainstorming tool. Especially when starting up new projects (for us primarily marketing events) we like to create list where everyone can add a note of their idea. Then later these ideas are sorted into which ones are most viable. During brainstorms we not only use notes, but also mindmaps and sometimes even moodboards. Also using Miro to documents physcial brainstorms later on is something we do. Me personally, as I am a bit chaotic, i keep a draft social media planning in Miro, it's easy to drag things around and change stuff op/leave ideas for new content. Though because Miro isn't the ebst tool for detailed planning, it's mostly a sketchboard for me to use when creating a final planning in a social media management tool.
Pros
- Brainstorming Tools; notes and mindmaps, everything can easily be connected and you can work together in a single file
- Templates; Miro has great options if your looking for a specific template, it's rare to not find what im looking for
- UX, everything is pretty intuitive to find, even when showing Miro to older colleagues, no one really struggled
Cons
- I'm honestly really impressed by Miro so it's hard to come up with specific points.
- I do miss the option to change everything to Dutch, especially useful for older collegueas, but as most people in the Netherlands speak english quite well I understand there isnt't much need for it.
- And as mentioned before, the UI is quite intuitive so even when you're not fluent in english everything is easy to find.
- Perhaps an extra option to colour pick notes
- Personally it helps in keeping my ideas less cluttered, and easy to show and share with colleagues
We don't have any remote workers, but it is great to be able to share whiteboards with some people from your own marketing team. I especially like that with notes people can easily add onto each other's ideas, as long as you give everyone an identifiable color. It's also nice you can label notes themselves
