Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We are using Miro at our organization primarily for two purposes. The main use is project management and collaboration, providing a central location to capture user stories, create Kanban boards, and track project status. The secondary use is for creating diagrams, flows, and other architectural visualizations in everyday projects.
Pros
- Enables collaboration with multiple stakeholders in a centralized location
- Provides necessary tools for easy flow architecture and diagramming
- Includes all the elements necessary for quick UI prototyping
Cons
- Large projects can quickly become unmanageable since there are no limitations on what stakeholders can create
- The export image feature needs improvement, as some elements can only be exported with a white background or as PDF
- Need the ability to restrict access to specific elements on the page based on user permission levels
- Miro has had a direct impact on productivity since we retired all other project management platforms—everyone loves using it for project management.
- It has improved our teams' ability to transform ideas into actual prototypes quickly and obtain required approvals directly within the platform.
- It makes it easier to trace each feature back to its original user story.
Our organization is remote-first and has significantly improved collaboration on projects. With team members in different time zones, comment summaries and notifications help everyone catch up on project progress while others are offline.
We compared Miro against well-known collaboration and diagramming platforms, but none of them were able to deliver the same experience as Miro. It hits a sweet spot by enabling easy project collaboration while providing the convenience to create diagrams and flows.
