Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I work in a team where remote and asynchronous collaboration is a daily occurrence. We tested several tools and found that Miro was an excellent visual tool that enabled us to work together around our context (different timezones around the world). We often need to engage people in meetings, having the possibility to input links and pictures as well as text help us making our remote meetings more interactive.
Pros
- Simultaneous collaboration
- Visualization
- Asynchronous collaboration
- Board Templates
Cons
- We can't integrate it to our existing tools (company restrictions)
- It can become slow to load if we add a lot of visual elements to the board
- More templates would be welcome
- Time saving: we don't have to do overtime to plan meetings to have everyone participate whenever we need to discuss something
- Increased Collaboration and productivity: Being remote does not equal to a lesser input. Everybody stands on equal footing when it comes to Miro.
- Cost saving: we can have different types of meetings online instead of travelling for in-person ones.
We love the whiteboard and that we can choose to start with a blanc canvas or from a template. It is amazing for collaboration at a distance, especially on projects where we need to keep track of tasks, their owners and the due dates. The fact that it is available online has made it the best on-the-go tool for us to collaborate.
The fact is that we can do different things all in one place: manage projects, keep track of timelines and milestones, create instant interactive boards for remote collaboration. We use less emails, we can check our Miro board and know what tasks need to be completed. We also do not need another project management tool.
Miro offers a better user experience and options, in my opinion. While the other tools each had their strong point, it was good to find a great product like Miro that offers to do it all in one centralized location. It's almost plug and play with a very straightforward setup. We can let our creativity flow and each board becomes a true expression of what our team can dream of.
