Overall Satisfaction with N-able N-central

We used to employ N-Central MSP Manager for our corporate clients' IT asset and ticket management in conjunction with N-able N-central for monitoring, response, and remote operations.

We have since retained N-able N-central but moved to ZenDesk for our incident reposonse and ticket management.

A major pro to N-able N-central alone is its extensive functionality, monitoring, and remote control avalable for all endpoints. It's an extremely capable platform. Couple this with the native integration with other PSA services including their in-house MSP-Manager, and you havea very powerful, nearly all-in-one Managed Services technical platform.

We moved to ZenDesk for ticket tracking as it provided a smoother workflow overall for our clients and technicians.

Pros

  • remote control
  • remote monitoring and notification
  • remote configuration
  • remote installation
  • integration with SentinelOne EDR
  • integration with Microsoft 365

Cons

  • stability of some remote sessions
  • ad hock remote control (Enable Take Control app for Windows)
  • linking devices to particular client end users
  • N-able N-central has provided our business a wealth of remote data to better provide our clients long term services.
  • N-able N-central continues to shine in day-to-day in providing my compnay's ability to remote control our client's endpoints in order to provide technical resolutions.
N-able N-central is great for its intended purposes. It's depth of function is very deep. Depending on its use cases, N-able N-central can be a bit complicated to properly and thoroughly work with during the earlier stages of setup. At times the Ad-Hoc and web-based remote sessions have been unreliable. N-able N-central needs better asset management and their entire platform needs to offer end-user-based or contact-based linking to specific devices (i.e. something like Intune.)

Do you think N-able N-central delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with N-able N-central's feature set?

Yes

Did N-able N-central live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of N-able N-central go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy N-able N-central again?

Yes

Remote control, management, notification, remote configuration, and SentinelOne integration is great in N-able N-central

Devices are not bound or associated to specific end-users. Client management and ticket creation through linked MSP-Manager is not end-user based... there should be a say to bind a particualr end-user to a particular device (and make this option editable somewhere in administrative management for N-able N-central and MSP-Manager.) Perhaps offer a more variety of integrations with N-able N-central with other popular ticket management systems such as ZenDesk, etc.
