Overall Satisfaction with NetSuite ERP

Use for full cycle accounting (invoicing, bill pay, payroll journals, bank feeds). We use the Rev Rec module but don't have a lot of the other add-ons.

Pros

Cons

  • I would like to see balance sheet reporting with past periods.
  • In my opinion, their sales team feels so obnoxious and uninformed - I feel like they just want to sell, and likely don't actually know how the system works.
  • Exporting reports is in a tiny, tiny font that you always have to change.
  • Easier to track projects
  • Visibility monthly into details
  • Custom fields
NetSuite ERP isn't comparable to QuickBooks Online or Xero as they are lightweight software and NetSuite ERP can do quite a heavy lift. Sage Intacct wasn't as modern and reporting was more difficult.

A little bit of a learning curve, but easy to use once you realize the proper steps to access your information.
In my opinion, I found the support annoying - I felt like they would gaslight you and pretend your problem wasn't happening, and then you had to prove it. After that experience, we just hired outside experts who we paid hourly to help us, as NetSuite ERP's support didn't feel like it was worth the money when we paid for it.
I think this is a great tool for businesses who want to get serious about controls and reporting. It's not super cheap, but it's customizable and decent for reporting. Out of the big software, I have the most faith in NetSuite ERP, even though I really dislike working with their sales/support teams.
