Overall Satisfaction with Optimizely

We use Optimizely to test our online ticketing and donation systems, to try to increase revenue and conversion.
  • Easy integration with our website and systems.
  • Makes it easy for any average user to set up and deploy tests.
  • Use of custom Javascript has expanded the reach of our tests.
  • Increased conversion.
  • Mitigating lost revenue by avoiding planned changes that were not effective.
  • Created a culture of data-driven decision making.
We've remained a small Optimizely user, so I don't have much insight on scalability.
I think Optimizely has an easy-to-use interface and makes it simple for non-developers to set up and run tests.
We remained focused on A/B and multi-variant testing, so didn't take advantage of some of the extended functionality mentioned here. For what we did use, Optimizely made it easy to run tests and share results throughout our organization.
We prefer Optimizely for ease of use and more functionality, but it's currently become too expensive for our non-profit organization, and we are switching to Google Optimize going forward.
There are a lot of instances where we don't have enough traffic to reach statistical significance, so this either creates tests that never have outcomes or just makes changes without testing and monitoring results instead of testing.
