Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use PandaDoc in its most traditional sense - for electronic signatures on contracts and to send out proposals.

Pros and Cons

Easy to use.
Drag and Drop HTML/Content editing tools are pretty good.
Analytics are nice.

Licensing is really prohibitive for smaller companies.
Export to Word document is a severely lacking feature.

Return on Investment

PRO: We are generating better, more professional proposals and contracts.
CON: Steeper learning curve for less tech-savvy users.

Since we are dealing with contracts, signatures are key.

The content library is getting more traction as we are building richer more dynamic proposals which requires more plug-and-play content.

The product catalog (with pricing) is super nice when generating proposals and contracts.

Streamlining Communication

Being CCed on contracts going out and getting real time feedback on their status is invaluable for the sales cycle.

Professional Quality

I think PandaDoc documents look pretty good. There are occasional issues where content looks strange in some browsers or exports to PDF look a little janky (but those issues are really limited).

Innovative Uses

PandaDoc is SO close to becoming a tool that we could use in other contexts but it really has fallen short, so we are limited our use to strictly sales workflows.
