Overall Satisfaction with Paycom

We use Paycom across the organization to help us manage our onboarding and talent management processes, our performance management programs, time and attendance as well as managing our leave programs, benefits administration, compliance, reporting, and payroll.
  • Paycom's primary strength is ease of use. It is more intuitive than most of the systems on the market, reducing training time and administration issues for users who don't use the modules very often.
  • Reporting is very easy to use for running simple data queries to dump into Excel for analysis.
  • Our current support team is exceptional, always responding very quickly and being very helpful and knowledgeable when we need them most.
  • Paycom is not the most customizable package on the market. It addresses all of the core needs, but rarely 100% of what you would prefer. You inevitably find yourself having to alter your programs and practices to work around the restrictions imposed by the system.
  • In the past, Paycom has suffered from growing pains, often having too many brand new trainees who knew little about the systems and even less about the issues and challenges on the real-world application side. We finally got with a seasoned team and have been blissfully happy ever since.
  • Paycom seems prone to "glitches" as they make system updates that cause unanticipated issues and, more infuriating, they are rarely forthcoming about the reasons that caused the "glitch".
  • Paycom is being used to help us drive more comprehensive analytics to better leverage our talent and improve retention of our key players.
Paycom is not as customizable, but it is considerably easier to use and has far superior client support
Paycom is especially well suited to smaller organizations or organizations with relatively simple, straightforward demands of their HR operation. For organizations with high levels of complexity or very specific and demanding requirements of their HR systems, Paycom is likely to frustrate due to its slimmed down features and lack of customizability.
