Paycor experience from the benefits admin side, managing clients utilizing the platform.
Overall Satisfaction with Paycor
We are a Benefits Broker, and I serve as a consulting analyst. Many of our clients utilize Paycor as their HRIS system for employee date, benefits data, payroll info, etc.
I pull reports within Paycor (Census, Benefit Admin, Payroll, etc.) to conduct audits and compare with the insurance carriers numbers.

Pros
- User Friendly
- Very customizable for pulling reports
- Good integration and implementation resources
Cons
- Poor Customer Service
- Lots of report options, but can be too complex when needing just standard reports.
- If something isn't integrated properly, it is tough to fix
- When set properly, good compliance to minimize risks
- When there is an issue, negative outcome on efficiency due to customer service and communication issues.
- Employee experience is mixed with satisfied and not satisfied. It is good software for small-mid market, but not well-suited for larger clients.
Our HR and/or payroll team has not had any measurable time savings. - Since it has been very mixed experience from one client to the next, it is hard to gauge. I do not believe it is a one-size-fits-all service.
Overall, I prefer it to the bigger HRIS systems that I work with (ADP, Paycom, Paylocity) and would chose Paycor above those listed. I do prefer utilizing other Ben Admin Systems (Gusto, Rippling, Ease) for pulling general reports, usability, and customer service needs for efficient and less complex solutions, especially when pulling data for audits.
