Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
I use Paylocity for all payroll, time and attendance, paid time off, and benefits management. The business problems that Paylocity handles perfectly include required federal and state payroll taxes, payroll garnishments, accruals for paid time off, benefits enrollment and deductions, integration with our 401(k) provider and filing of required ACA paperwork.
- Customer Service - I have never worked with a company that had better customer service! Whenever I call, the person I speak with is able to either resolve my issue on the spot, or they research it until it is resolved. I have never been left frustrated after a call with customer service.
- Custom Reporting - Paylocity is able to produce ad-hoc reports that I need for everything from payroll Journal Entries, to the PPP Loan required documentation, to Paid Time Off accrual reporting. Additionally, they integrate beautifully with 3rd party 401(k) administrators, providing them with automated reports that keep us 100% compliant.
- Payroll and Tax Filings - Paylocity's bread and butter payroll and tax filing services are spot on. It seems like this should be obvious, but I have worked with other companies that fall far short of Paylocity's level of expertise in these functions.
- I honestly don't know areas that Paylocity needs to improve. I really enjoy using this software and working with this company!
- Paylocity has enabled us to job-cost payroll to specific projects, increasing the accuracy of our project profitability reports by 50%. Previously, our payroll system did not have the robust time and attendance reports, nor the ability to build ad-hoc reports that could be used to job-cost our labor, PTO, benefits, and reimbursements. All of these are now accurate and up-to-date, significantly improving our ability to tell in real-time the profitability of individual projects and the company as a whole.
Paylocity's automation of core processes like anniversary reminders, approvals workflow, and new hire onboarding have dramatically reduced the time and effort required to source, hire, onboard, and manage employees' payroll, HR, and benefits.
My company does not currently use these features of Paylocity, although I do see that they are available.
Paylocity is head and shoulders above the other payroll and HR systems I have used previously. There is no comparison between their customer service and their competitors, their integrations are easier to install and less expensive to add to your payroll package, and not even the PEO we previously belonged to provided the level of on demand reporting we needed to answer urgent and important business issues in real-time.
