Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use Paylocity for onboarding, time & labor, payroll, LMS, and HRIS. The ability to customize the General Ledger, pay rates, and time cards provides the needed solution to integrate payroll in our financial reports.

Cons
- Account Managers have been sporadic over the years. At times, we have had amazing Account Managers, and others, not so much. We appreciate it when our Account Managers are in it with us and help find solutions and participate in the solutions.
- In Community, we would love to see more functionality in the body of announcements and updates (such as colored text).
- A big improvement was seen when implementing Paylocity was in Time & Labor. Prior to Paylocity, managers were completing spreadsheets from manual time cards that were then compiled and prepared for payroll upload. It brought us into the 21st century!
- COVID-19 brought to light our inability to reach all of our employees in a timely manner (not all of our employees have company email). We adopted Community and now have a great platform to provide company information, for teams to communicate, and for recognition through Impressions.
- Onboarding has reduced the amount of time the HR Team spent manually entering employees. We like the streamlined process that new hires now have in completing the necessary new hire tasks.
Onboarding has been very effective in reducing the time new hires, managers, and the HR Team has spent on setting up employees in Paylocity. It has reduced the number of errors managers make on compliance requirements such as I-9s.
We have adopted Community and Impressions. Since we have a young workforce that is mainly part-time, it has been difficult to increase engagement in these platforms. The HR Team sees the value in it and routinely uses it for providing company information, manager communications, and employee recognition.
Going to a web-based product made all the difference. It is so much easier to use for employees, managers, and admins.
