Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

In addition to inputting our payroll every two weeks, which Paylocity processes and disburses, we use Paylocity's automated programming to track our employee's PTO. Our organization also depends on Paylocity to accurately withhold local and federal taxes and timely remittance of those taxes. Finally, all of our benefits processing is through Paylocity - it's great having most HR needs in one place.

Pros

  • Customer service is prompt and helpful
  • Paylocity timely processes payroll
  • Paylocity is dependable

Cons

  • The user experience of inputting payroll could be improved (having to create a new batch every time or needing to navigate multiple screens to locate needed information or adjust that period's pay)
  • Reports should be simplified - more user friendly
  • Fee reductions are always welcome!
  • Decreased overhead
  • more consistent processes
  • no-hassle PTO maintenance
This aspect is positive by making the payroll input process efficient, but the software's lack of integration with our time tracking program, which is better for costs, is burdensome.
Paylocity's cost for value is exponentially better than the others I have experienced. Aside from its cost, the terms, support, and flexibility are of a high level.

It is easy and efficient to input and submit payroll for a true small business. Also, any company looking to avoid "big box" payroll companies with fluctuating fees that are impossible to understand. If you are frustrated with the customer service at your current provider - Paylocity's quick and understandable responses and telephone support will surprise you!
