Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity and many of the tools the technology has to offer. First and foremost it is our database for employee files and we use Paylocity to run payroll. We love the recruiting application and use it for all sorts of opportunities. We recently got the Performance and Comp model and look forward to maximizing those systems to showcase our efforts.

Pros

  • Consistent updates--listening to the client and upgrading the systems overtime.
  • Having programs that allow us to create a "Hub" of tools to promote within our agency.

Cons

  • Reporting seems to be lacking in certain areas. Recruiting reports are not available and getting organized within some of the reporting structure is difficult. Reporting opportunities does not seem easy.
  • 14K saved in recruiting module-with storage of resumes, etc and time management in looking at all the data together.
  • Timecard reporting and utilization--100K saved.
I think they have affected them immensely in great ways. Nice to have automated payroll processes and such.. however, some of the automation doesn't work as it says. If I change a salary person to hourly due to a job change effective AFTER the current payroll date... it turns off autopay. There are still some things account managers can't explain or workarounds internally we do that remove those efficiences.
I think the impact has been OK. We are still learning how to optimize and train, but for those that have found the tool and used it, doing pretty good!
We thought about leaving Paylocity for Paycom due to some severe reporting issues and the constant need to have to pay more and more to get what we want out of the system.

Do you think Paylocity delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Paylocity's feature set?

Yes

Did Paylocity live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Paylocity go as expected?

No

Would you buy Paylocity again?

Yes

I think Paylocity, overall, is a great tool. There is a lot of functionality and it allows a space to house a lot of materials. I believe Paylocity could lean more into best ways to utilize or operate. Their "help" center is amazing and although it is a great tool, some times people want a training with their account manager or a group of people to really get the sense of the tool and some examples or "show and tell" within their company code.
